Michael Grant


Michael Grant is a Senior Director at SierraConstellation Partners out of South Florida. With nearly 15 years of experience, Mr. Grant provides comprehensive industry, operations and transaction expertise to management, owners, boards of directors, senior secured lenders, bondholders, and private equity firms across a broad spectrum of industries. He has served in roles such as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and has led cross functional teams on multiple engagements throughout his career. Mr. Grant brings vast financial restructuring advisory experience and industry expertise in consumer products, retail, healthcare, marketing, restaurants, grocery and manufacturing to SCPs integrated client services team.

He has provided advise in a variety of situations and his work includes developing and reviewing financial and operating turnaround plans, managing covenant compliance, renegotiating financing arrangements, managing cash and liquidity, developing and reviewing financial models and 13-week cash flow projections, implementing cost initiatives, and integrating M&A synergies throughout organizations.

Additionally, having owned and operated his own businesses in the past, Michael Grant truly understands the significance of business operations and has the know how to help find solutions during challenging times.

Prior to joining SCP, Mr. Grant served as Group CFO to a collective of marketing agencies, President & CEO to a restaurant group, as well as the majority of his restructuring career, serving in a similar capacity, at Carl Marks Advisors.

Mr. Grant received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and previously held FINRA Licenses; Series 7, Series 63 and Series 79 while at Carl Marks Advisors.

  • Financial/Restructuring Advisor to a $300M global strategic consulting firm, advising on all aspects of a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy process & post-petition sale process, resulting in a successful §363 sale of all assets to Deloitte Consulting LLP.
  • Lender Advisor to a $250M operator of post-secondary education schools in the U.S. Responsible for daily liquidity management & cash flow forecasting to identify opportunities/risks & validate the proposed balance sheet restructuring.
  • Financial Advisor to a $4B communications & aviation electronics designer/manufacturer. Assisted the Company (second largest creditor) in evaluating & negotiating Executory Contract disputes in the Hawker Beechcraft Bankruptcy.
  • Restructuring Advisor to a $2B cooperative food distributor that provides distribution & retail services for supermarkets and convenience stores; developing a weekly cashflow model to assist the Lender Group in evaluating performance, while creating strategic scenarios to enhance liquidity.
