Director

At SierraConstellation Partners, exceptional results begin with how we show up for our clients. We lead with stewardship, build authentic connections, apply sharp and insightful thinking, and embrace an entrepreneurial mindset in everything we do. Our team of former CEOs, COOs, CFOs, private equity investors, and investment bankers have spent decades navigating the realities of running companies and guiding them through pivotal transitions.

Our commitment to excellence has earned recognition from The M&A Advisor and Global M&A Network, affirming our ability to deliver transformative operational improvements and financial solutions that help businesses restore value, strengthen creditor trust, and seize new opportunities for growth.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Director who is energized by complex challenges, inspired by partnership, and motivated to help organizations transform for the better. As a Director, you will be applying your analytical skills and deep understanding of finance to a diverse range of projects in turnaround, restructuring, and performance improvement. You will play a central role in guiding clients through their most critical moments. Working closely with Managing Directors and senior leaders, you’ll engage across a broad spectrum of industries to uncover cash flow opportunities, reimagine processes and policies, and implement lasting improvements that create sustainable value.

You’ll bring analytical rigor, financial acumen, and curiosity to each engagement, while fostering strong relationships built on trust and clear communication. Your work will help shape strategic decisions, influence key stakeholders, and drive positive outcomes for companies navigating change.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day execution of restructuring analyses and negotiations with oversight from Managing Directors.
  • Build, review, and present 13-week cash flow forecasts and three-statement financial models to clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop and oversee financial projections and assessments of client business plans.
  • Guide clients through key processes—including working capital optimization, bankruptcy preparation, liquidation analysis, credit agreement negotiations, and claims management.
  • Diagnose operational performance drivers and identify improvement levers for each engagement.
  • Review bankruptcy plans, strategies, disclosure statements, and related financial materials.
  • Implement cash-conservation strategies and support the development of restructuring plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned workstreams, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams.
  • Shape effective presentations and communicate findings to C-suite executives and other stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
  • Support business development efforts by cultivating strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree required; MBA, MS, or other advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or analytical fields preferred.
  • 5–7+ years of experience in corporate restructuring, investment banking, private equity, or roles with formal financial modeling responsibilities.
  • Certifications such as CTP, CIRA, or CFA are a plus.
  • Strong ability to identify operational drivers, forecast cash flow, and support clients across a wide spectrum of financial and operational challenges.
  • Proven experience building or evaluating business plans and financial models.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and senior leadership.
  • Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations while knowing when to seek guidance.
  • A collaborative, curious, and solutions-oriented mindset consistent with a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
