Abbas Perez, a Senior Associate out of New York at SierraConstellation Partners, brings nine years of experience in strategy consulting for startups, investment banking, and equity investing. His work has spanned various industries, including Business Services, Software, FinTech, and Consumer Products.

Before joining SierraConstellation Partners, Abbas underwrote equity investments across public and private businesses, focusing on B2B Software, Payments, and Data Services business models. In this role, he led and supported financial modeling, research, and due diligence efforts. Before becoming an equity investor, Abbas worked as an investment banker focusing on M&A and a strategy consultant focusing on startups. He did a stint at a high-growth startup in a Strategic Finance role, heavily supporting the sale of the business to a strategic buyer.

Abbas holds a BBA from City University of Hong Kong and a Master of Management from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business.

In his free time, Abbas enjoys running as he trains for the NY Marathon. A former D-1 Hong Kong soccer player, having represented his home state in Venezuela at national games, now gets his playing time while also refereeing organized games in Manhattan. A true soccer fan that never misses a game of Tottenham Hotspurs in the Premier League. When not playing soccer on the weekends, he enjoys dancing salsa and is a self-proclaimed teacher.
