Harrison Edelman

Harry Edelman, a Director out of New York at SierraConstellation Partners, has 10 years of blended experience spanning corporate and investment banking, corporate finance, turnaround & restructuring, and product management. Most of his work has revolved around the oil & gas sector, including upstream, midstream, and downstream clients. Over the course of his career, Harry has developed a passion for combining financial analysis with data and technology skills.

Prior to joining SierraConstellation Partners, Harry served as a Product Manager at Citigroup, where he helped deliver a reimagined global obligor risk rating platform. This effort required a combination of credit domain knowledge, project management, and technical product vision.

Harry contributed towards numerous restructuring engagements at Ankura Consulting Group including Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases for Furie Operating Alaska and MDC Texas Energy. He also spent time filling corporate development, investor relations, treasury, and FP&A roles at Fieldwood Energy.

Harry started his career at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, where he interfaced with clients such as Valero Energy, Kinder Morgan, Williams Companies, and Phillips 66. He also participated in the build-out of a newly-formed corporate advisory services team.

Harry holds an MA in Economics and a BS in Finance from Rutgers University. He is a CFA charterholder, and he has active Series 79 and 63 FINRA securities licenses. Over the past few years, he has completed several nanodegree programs through Udacity including Data Structures and Algorithms, Data Analysis, Full-Stack Web Development, and Front-End Web Development.

In his spare time, Harry enjoys mountaineering and running marathons. He has summitted Mount Rainier and a handful of 14,000-foot peaks in the Swiss Alps. Most recently, he completed the NYC Marathon for a second time and has also run the Disney and Houston Marathons.

Notable Assignments

  • CRO support in connection with the Chapter 11 bankruptcy of MDC Texas Energy, an independent exploration & production company with oil & gas reserves based in the Delaware and Midland Basins. Harry supervised the construction and maintenance of the liquidity and business plan models. He resolved royalty and working interest balance disputes. Pursuant to a Section 363 sale, Harry negotiated settlement statement purchase price adjustments with the buyer.
  • Financial advisor to Furie Operating Alaska through its Chapter 11 bankruptcy case. Harry supervised liquidity model updates and the distribution of monthly operating reports. He also prepared claims analysis and assisted with the preparation of the schedules of assets and liabilities and statements of financial affairs.
